Day 65 – Jakarta – Bali

Monday 19th November 2007

The group split into their separate section this morning, the train goers leaving at the crack of sparrows, the Yogikarta flyers leaving mid-morning and the Balinese sun seekers leaving early afternoon. We found our accommodation in Bali on the web in the morning and arranged for them to pick us up at the airport with all the technicalities out of the way it was off on another flight with our favourite unsafe Indonesian operator who again got us there in one piece if a little delayed.

The hotel airport transfer went smoothly; our rooms were ready on time and very nice for the £6 per person price tag. With the OzBus not due till Friday and our departure to Darwin scheduled for late Sunday we had a full week in Paradise ahead of us!

We unloaded out gear and headed in to town, we saw the Bali Bombing Memorial, the main stretch of shops, had dinner in a cool little bar with a live band then headed back to the hotel to chill out on our porch with good friends and a late night tipple or two.
