TFI Friday

I have always been a fan of Friday’s, work is normally a little more relaxed, people are open to taking slightly longer over lunch and a bit of mucking about in the office comes as standard. Also in the PR industry we are firmly in middle of what is commonly know as “silly season”, that time of year where there is a lull in the media, the journalists and a lot of clients head off on holiday and the world of PR slows down a little allowing you to get back on top of your to-do-list and tie up all those loose ends you have been meaning to get to but were just to busy.

So as another week draws to an end the OzBus is ever closer, for those of you who read yesterday’s post you will know I was off out with one of my future bus mates last night, a mate from work came along as well and by the end of the night we had joined my emaciated Welsh housemate back at mine to carry on the festivities. All in all it was a good laugh, a fair amount of alcohol was consumed at the pub before heading back to my place where I promptly passed out on the sofa….when I woke up at 7 this morning it took me a while to work out where everyone was (they had all gone home) and that is was now the next day and time for work but I got there in the end.

This Friday has started well, I ran into my train buddy on the way in, a girl I used to work with who now works in recruitment just round the corner from my office, so had a quick catch up with her and am supposed to be going for a drink with her after work but we will have to wait and see about that, she is notorious for standing me up :-). My bus mate’s observations about my workmate on Facebook caused me to laugh out loud and got me a couple of funny looks in the office and if the weather would just sort itself out everything would be spot on….Happy weekend everyone!
